Agilus is recruiting for an Applications Manager in the equipment manufacturing industry in Edmonton, Alberta. The Applications Manager is responsible for leading and managing the inside sales team and overseeing the quoting process to ensure accuracy and responsiveness. This role serves as the product expert on the sales team and will assist the team to ensure all opportunities are qualified properly and customer needs are fully understood. This role requires an excellent understanding of all aspects of costing including cylinder design, internal processes, outside services and other related items and will work closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Engineering Teams. Responsibilities: Understand customer specifications to provide application solutions, including concepts and designs. Cultivate strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing customized solutions. Project manage the opportunities to quote using the sales process until passed to production. Prepare cost estimates, quotes, proposals, and document packages. Collaborate across departments for project scope and production estimates. Create project packages to pass to the operations group for execution. Communicate with customers to address product issues, refine requirements, and explore opportunities for design improvement. Visit customers to build relationships, understand project requirements, and address issues when required. Requirements: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Engineering Design and Drafting or equivalent. Previous experience in manufacturing. Knowledge/experience in hydraulic cylinders, fluid power, and material grades and alloys considered an asset Project Management experience a bonus. Ability to conceptualize and communicate technical requirements through drawings and sketches Experience in reverse engineering/generating drawings in AutoCAD/Inventor Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects in order to meet firm deadlines Strong computer skills required.
