Agilus is recruiting for a Fire Wall Consultant in the Toronto in a hybrid work environment in Montreal, Quebec. Agilus is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Firewall Engineer to lead our Branch modernization and EOL projects. This role involves migrating branch network infrastructure from legacy Cisco equipment to Palo Alto Networks firewalls. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching, Fortigate, and Palo Alto firewalls, and will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing the branch modernization and EOL projects A typical day: Migration Planning Prepare detailed migration plan for EOL devices to new hardware for datacenter devices and remote partner connections. Analyze configuration changes required for migration to from legacy Cisco hardware to new ones. Implement firewall migrations from Cisco ASA and Fortigate to Palo Alto Networks firewalls. Develop cutover plans and detailed MOPs for implementation activities. Analyze configuration changes required for migration to from legacy Cisco hardware to new ones. Perform thorough testing and validation of firewall configurations post-migration. Successful candidates will have: Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting during and after migration activities o Optimize firewall configurations for performance, security, and compliance Maintain up-to-date knowledge of firewall technologies, best practices, and industry trends Advanced proficiency with Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including PAN-OS configuration and management Skilled in deploying and managing security policies, VPNs (GlobalProtect, IPsec), threat prevention, and URL filtering Knowledgeable in utilizing Panorama for centralized management and log analysis Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, etc.), routing (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), and switching Soft skills: Work closely with network engineers, security teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless migration Communicate project status, progress, and issues to management and stakeholders Total rewards: Remote
