The Inventory Analyst is responsible for planning and allocating products to optimize store sales, inventory productivity, and overall performance. This role plays a key part in achieving financial targets, including sales, inventory turnover, and stock efficiency. The position ensures that the right products are available in the right quantities, at the right locations, and at the right time to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

This role is 3 Months contract and fully on-site. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze trends, store performance, and customer profiles to effectively allocate merchandise.
  • Manage inventory flow and maintain optimal stock levels to enhance in-stock positions and drive sales growth.
  • Conduct in-season inventory management by evaluating store profiles, category assortments, and promotional activities.
  • Maintain category assortments and ensure proper product mix across locations.
  • Collaborate with Planners and Merchants to align allocations with financial goals and product strategies.
  • Communicate with Stores and Operations to identify specific inventory needs and opportunities.

Education & Experience:

  • College diploma in a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in merchandise allocation or distribution for a retail chain with varied store sizes and sales volumes.
  • Proficient understanding of merchandise planning and inventory management practices.
  • Experience with distribution and replenishment systems (JDA knowledge is an asset).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team settings.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
