The Government of Alberta’s Ministry of Transportation and Economic Corridor’s is looking for a motivated individual to join the southern region’s construction and maintenance division in Strathmore as Field Support Technologist. If you are looking for a challenging yet exciting opportunity, look no further and apply!
As the Field Support Technologist, you will provide the technical expertise required for the delivery of the Highway Maintenance Contracts to ensure the protection and preservation of the highway infrastructure and safety of the traveling public.
Your role will encompass both materials and survey discipline and support the administration of the Provincial Highway Maintenance Contracts by auditing technical work done by maintenance contractors and consultants. As the Field Support Technologist, you will collect and maintain inventory and condition rating information for the asset management and pavement preservation programs within the departments. The Field Support Technologist will act in the capacity of the Operations Engineer or the Maintenance Contract Inspector (MCI) in their absence.
