You will be reporting to the Construction Manager. Your work will be assigned directly by the manager or will support the responsibilities of senior engineering positions. This role primarily involves assisting senior construction engineers with the execution of assigned highway rehabilitation projects and major highway capital projects. As a junior engineer, you will help senior engineers define project requirements with clients, coordinate the activities of in-house team members, private sector consultants, and contractors, and develop project implementation strategies from initiation to closeout to ensure that project scope, time, cost, and quality objectives are achieved. As you gain experience and increase your independence, you will take on greater responsibilities and be encouraged to apply for higher classification positions.
The Construction Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all phases of project activities, from start to finish, comply with government and ministry legislation, policies, guidelines, and transportation industry regulations, standards, and procedures. A crucial aspect of this engineer position is collaborating with stakeholders and industry to achieve results, which requires extensive professional knowledge of project management principles and methodologies, including highway engineering, procurement, planning, programming, design, and construction disciplines.

This role is a permanent, full time position with the standard work hours as 36.25 Monday to Friday.
