Agilus is recruiting for a Health & Safety Manager - Construction in the Construction Industry in Burlington, Ontario. As a Health and Safety Manager you are responsible for managing all aspects of the Health and Safety program on site. A typical day: Perform regular site safety inspections and ensuring compliance with crews and sub contractors. Support Project Safety Set-up, hazard identification and controls. Complete incident investigations, implement controls and recommendations. Support new employee trainings. Train employees in WHMIS, Ariel work platforms, Forklift, Telehandler and various other certifications that may be required. Provide leadership and support to ensure participation and compliance with Health and Safety Awareness and Construction Specific Safety Training . Proactive mentoring in all aspects of on-site health and safety aspects. Analyze safety performance and make recommendations to continuous improvement. Successful candidates will have: Graduate of a recognized Health and Safety Program. NCSO designation considered and asset. 5-10 years of relevant experience. Valid Drivers License. ICI experience preferred. Ability to assist with preparation, planning and implementation of JHSC, tool Box Talks. Working knowledge of the Ontario Health and Safety Acts, and Regulations.
