Agilus is recruiting for a Senior Piping Stress Engineer in the Engineering Consultancy Industry in Calgary, Alberta. Our Engineering client is seeking a Senior Piping Stress Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role will be supporting a variety of projects from SAGD to gas processing. A typical day: Lead a team of stress engineers in execution of energy and carbon capture facilities. Oversee third party stress engineers, ensuring performance is completed as per client specifications. Develop stress engineering deliverables including calculations, CAESAR II modelling, Isometric drawing reviews, and piping stress reports. Execution of effective stress analysis and input to piping designs for projects ranging in size from $0.5MM to $800MM TIC. Complete stress analysis and piping design for rotating equipment including reciprocating and centrifugal compression, multistage centrifugal pumps, and reciprocating pumps. Ensure system and equipment integrity within company designs complying with all codes and specifications. Interface with project team and equipment vendors to ensure scope requirements for piping stress and equipment information are communicated in a timely manner. Successful candidates will have: 15+ years of experience, ideally with an EPC background and experience working on a wide variety of projects. Registered as a Professional Engineer with APEGA or EGBC. Engineering degree from an accredited University in Mechanical Engineering Expert level knowledge of the requirements of current editions of CSA Z662, ASME B31.3, ASME B31.1 is required. Working knowledge of ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, and ASME Section VIII is considered an asset. Expert level capability using CAESAR II for stress analysis is required. Demonstrated success in mentorship and training of junior engineers is required. Total rewards: Competitive hourly salary. Hybrid work model.
