Altis Recruitment is thrilled to be partnered with a renowned global bank in their search for a Credit Analyst to join their corporate banking team.

This role is responsible for conducting comprehensive credit reviews and applications for clients. Duties include preparing credit applications, analyzing financial information, assessing risk, and ensuring compliance with banking regulations.

The analyst will play a crucial role in maintaining the bank's credit portfolio quality and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Our client follows a hybrid model with 3 days a week on site at the Bay Street location.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and timely credit applications, including financial models and stress testing.
  • Analyze borrowers' financial statements, industry trends, and economic conditions.
  • Assess risk and ensure compliance with banking policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and distribute regular reports on borrowers' facilities and exposure.
  • Monitor and control financial releases and trigger events for clients.
  • Investigate and discuss borrower requirements with deal administrators and account managers.
  • Respond to credit-related requests and protect the bank's position.
  • Coordinate with account managers and clients on financial reports.
  • Prepare special reports on borrowers and industry research as needed.
  • Assist with special projects and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

 

Qualifications

  • University degree in Business, Economics, Commerce, or equivalent. MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of Credit Analysis experience
  • Familiarity with corporate banking, including credit application preparation, cash flow analysis, financial statement interpretation, and accounting.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in GBR, Loan IQ, Microsoft Office, DebtDomain, S&P Cap IQ, and Bloomberg.
