This internship position involves analyzing market trends and group benefits data to support the development of strategic initiatives in drug plan management. The intern will collaborate with various teams to deliver actionable insights and contribute to key projects, enhancing their understanding of the healthcare and group benefits sectors. Through this role, the intern will develop valuable skills in data analysis, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration, while gaining exposure to the evolving landscape of healthcare and wellness.
Position Responsibilities:
Analysis of market trends and group benefits data to support strategy and program development in drug plan management.
Partner with internal stakeholders from Marketing, Pricing, Underwriting, and Distribution to ensure the value proposition of drug plan strategies is clearly articulated.
Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and identify opportunities for enhancing drug plan strategies.
Support key projects from research phase to presentation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic goals.
Contribute to building and monitoring a reporting framework to track performance and measure the success of strategic initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Pharmacy, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field and in your second to last or last year of your degree.
Experience and comfort with Microsoft productivity tools including Excel.
No licenses required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to support strategic decision-making.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to manage projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Eagerness to learn about the evolving landscape of healthcare and wellness.
Familiarity with financial concepts and the ability to apply them in a business context.
